From fleeting thoughts to moments of joy, sadness or even fear, my work is always driven by a mix of emotions. Once the main theme has taken shape, I build on it with associations, desires and everyday details, anything that adds depth and layers of meaning to the work.

I find inspiration everywhere and nowhere. In the woods or walking through the streets, I let my thoughts wander and fall into place. Ideas emerge from the work of other artists, sparking new connections. One thought leads to another, and the process never really stops. What was becomes what is. That is Noah.

Basquiat inspires me with his spontaneous, almost fleeting way of working. Brood draws me in with his colour combinations and apparent simplicity. Klashorst fascinates me with his subtle – and sometimes not so subtle – insinuations. I admire De Ploeg for their boldness and individuality, while Gummbah makes me laugh with his dry humour. Each of these artists has left a lasting impression on me and has helped shape my own style and creative process. Their influence continues to find its way into my work.

I would describe my style as contemporary associative art. Colour combinations, sometimes childlike observations expressed through words and images, and references to everyday life give my work depth and meaning. I want viewers to look again, discover new details and find their own interpretations – perhaps even to drift away into their own thoughts for a while.

Through my art, I want to convey the warmth, pleasure and sense of wonder that comes with getting lost in your own thoughts. I invite you to make your own associations around a particular theme and follow wherever your thoughts take you. Take a deep breath, breathe out slowly, and discover the beauty and complexity in the details of everyday life. Let your thoughts wander and enjoy the journey through your own imagination.
